About Quendario

Practical budget skills for people who have tried the rest

Quendario started as a simple observation: most budget advice tells you what to do, but skips showing you how. We built the platform to close that gap — through hands-on workshops, not lectures.

Where the platform came from

Quendario grew out of a frustration with courses that covered financial theory in depth but left participants guessing when it came to applying it. The gap between understanding a concept and actually using it in a real household or small business budget is larger than most educators admit.

The platform was designed from the start to close that gap. Every workshop is built around a specific scenario — an irregular income, a sudden expense, a lease that doesn't align with cash flow — not an abstract model. Participants work through something that closely mirrors a situation they'll face, not a simplified teaching case.

Sessions run online, which means participants across Quebec can join without committing to a commute. The format is deliberate: short enough to fit into an evening, dense enough to leave with something concrete.

Assignments before answers

Every session starts with a task, not a slide deck. You try first, then we examine what worked and what didn't in the debrief.

Specificity over breadth

Workshops cover one area thoroughly. Covering everything lightly tends to leave participants with a lot of vocabulary and very little skill.

Honest about difficulty

Budget habits take weeks to shift, not one workshop. We're clear about that and build follow-up exercises into the program structure.

People behind the workshops

Small team, narrow focus. Each person works specifically on budget optimization — nobody is a generalist filling a seat.

Oliwia Szymańska

Lead Facilitator

Designs and runs most live sessions. Worked in municipal budget planning for eight years before switching to education. Her sessions tend to be blunt about common errors people make without realising it.

Curriculum designer reviewing workshop assignment structure
Radu Florescu

Curriculum Designer

Builds the assignment frameworks used across all workshops. Has a background in instructional design and a specific interest in how adults learn financial skills differently than students do.

Platform coordinator reviewing participant progress tools
Brigitte Tanguay

Platform Coordinator

Manages the online platform side — scheduling, participant tools, and the interactive exercises. Based in the greater Montreal area and handles most of the coordination for Quebec participants specifically.

What we don't claim

We don't promise that one workshop fixes a budget. What we can say is that participants consistently leave with a clearer picture of where their money is actually going — which tends to be the harder part to get right on your own.
